Broken Collar Bone

The Burgess Family just returned home from a trip to South Carolina. While we were down there, I (Jeff) crashed my mountain bike. I shattered my collar bone and bruised my ribcage along with tearing all of the muscle and tissue in my left shoulder/arm/chest. Luckily, I'm right handed.
You'll notice in the 1st x-rays that the bone was broken into 3 pieces. The 3rd image is from a follow-up 17 days after the crash. As of today, it's been 26 days and I seem to be recovering at the expected rate, which happens to be really slow.

I googled broken collar bone and found your x-rays and story. I was roller blading 2 weeks ago and broke my collarbone in 3 places and my x-rays look just like yours. Did you have to have surgery?
I still have a huge bump and am nervous it will never go down and will need surgery. I know this comment seems very weird and I apologize if I crossed the line. I would be interested to know if you choose to e-mail me back great. kensblake@gmail.com

I broke mine into 3 pieces in a horse riding accident and had to have surgery because the middle bit was sticking up and it wouldn't have healed itself. If you're worried about it then definitely get a second opinion, or a third opinion

I broke mine and it's been nearly 5 years, and it's still all messed up. I'm contemplating going to a surgeon and seeing if I need to have it rebroke and set right or something. I'm worried because it hurts constantly, and it doesn't appear to be healing well-it's been nearly 5 years!

I regret not looking into this further when it happened, but the hospital folks acted like it wasn't any big deal at the time.
